In November 2017, Hikmah Club will again meet for a private dinner. The dinner's guest speaker will be the former Telegraph columnist and now Mail on Sunday columnist, Dan Hodges.
This month's Hikmah Dinner was held next door to London Bridge, overlooking the River Thames. The guest speaker was Guardian columnist and Radio 4 presenter Jonathan Freedland. Jonathan started the dinner's conversation off by covering the question, 'Why did the Guardian get the General Election so wrong?'. From there, discussion ranged through the rise of Islamophobia, hope for British Muslims, and finally on lessons we could all take from the dinner.
Of particular interest was the insight from thought leaders in attendance. Shadow cabinet ministers, former ambassadors and influential youth workers all had something to say and lessons to be shared. Jonathan in particular wanted to share how worthwhile the dinner was.
